Hadi Ali L.Ac., M.Ac., PhD

Hadi was drawn to acupuncture and natural medicine through a love of cooking that transformed into a fascination with diet and nutrition. Hadi is a researcher and life-long learner at heart. He appreciates all things science, but values, embraces, and implements approaches to health that cannot be explained by the current Western scientific paradigm. He enjoys broadening his knowledge base and deepening his clinical skills through research and continuing education for the benefit of his patients. His appreciation for learning and research helps him integrate large amounts of seemingly unrelated information to find the root cause of patients’ illnesses. He believes that every patient deserves the time, attention, and effort required to solve their health-related puzzles and problems. He specializes in and particularly enjoys complex cases that have gone unresolved using conventional medical care. Hadi’s background in martial arts, yoga, and meditation have taught him the importance of mindfulness in overcoming the self-inflicted limitations that often prevent us from reaching optimal health. He loves sharing his knowledge and experience by educating patients on their journey toward reclaiming their optimal health.

Hadi spent the last 19 years practicing acupuncture and functional medicine in Boulder, CO. During this period he served as Medical Director for the Traditional Knowledge and Land Preservation Foundation (TRAKLAP), a New York City based non-profit organization focused on the research and development of traditional herbal medicine in east Africa. He was a faculty member at the Institute of Taoist Education and Acupuncture for 13 years, where he taught nutrition and pharmacology in the Master of Acupuncture program. He also pursued a PhD in pharmaceutical sciences in order to further the research capacity of TRAKLAP. Following his PhD, Hadi worked as a researcher in the Department of Cardiology at the University of Colorado School of Medicine performing research on cardiac regeneration.

When Hadi is not treating patients, he spends his free time practicing and teaching Russian Martial Art (Systema) and a regenerative form of yoga, called Avita Yoga. He has two grown kids whose company he enjoys immensely. Hadi also enjoys hiking with his wife and dogs, as well as cooking healthy and tasty meals for his family.

  • Hadi graduated from Tufts University in Medford, Massachusetts, with a B.A. in English and Philosophy. Sharon Gatt L.Ac., M.Ac.

Sharon has an unwavering optimism that is truly infectious and has dedicated the past 15 years to uplifting and caring for her patients in Boulder, CO. She now continues her passion in Walla Walla, WA. In her heart of hearts is a determination to inspire, educate and provide opportunities for everyone to improve, promote and maintain all aspects of their health and well-being. Sharon possesses a deep understanding of health imbalances, approaching each treatment holistically.

Her journey into acupuncture was inspired at a young age by witnessing its transformative effects on her mother who opted for acupuncture over back surgery. Sharon not only observed pain relief, but also a significant shift in her mother’s quality of life. She seemed happier, less stressed and even had more vitality. This early imprint fueled Sharon's commitment to helping others find harmony and balance within. More recently, she had the privilege of providing acupuncture to support her mother through dementia, witnessing its power to alleviate mood changes, confusion, and foster peace and acceptance. Constantly in awe of the potential for positive transformation, Sharon carries this inspiration into her practice.

Sharon's approach incorporates patient education, lifestyle changes, and herbal medicine. She is committed to helping her patients find resources throughout their journey. She uses acupuncture to help balance the nervous system, restore the body to homeostasis, and support the transformation of her patients’ overall well-being. She also shares the techniques of mindfulness she learned as a competitive athlete by helping patients apply the benefits of meditative awareness to daily life, encouraging them to become aware of their limiting stories and beliefs, and to move beyond them.

From infants to seniors, Sharon's expertise spans all ages and she firmly believes everyone deserves to live their best lives. With a special focus on patients with neurological conditions, sports injuries, fertility challenges, aging concerns, and mental health issues, she empowers individuals to recognize the infinite potential of their body, mind, and spirit.

Sharon spends her free time hiking with her husband and dogs. She also loves to travel with Hadi and their two grown children, exploring the culinary delights of new places. However, she particularly enjoys eating the meals that Hadi creates!
